SSI signs contract with DSI, Germany’s global leader in construction technology

Preparing for mega-projects, showing sales backlog of over 1.5 billion baht, eyeing MAI listing in early 2021

Mr. Aganit Boonlualoah, CEO & Managing Director of Span Systems International Co., Ltd. (SSI), has disclosed that the Company entered into an agreement with DYWIDAG-Systems International GmbH (DSI), a German firm that supplies innovative products and systems for the construction industry. The agreement allows SSI to acquire modern construction technology for its services in Thailand and Cambodia. This is in preparation for the construction of large infrastructure projects in Thailand, which is expanding rapidly in the next two to three years.

Over the past two years, SSI — a leader in construction technology involving prestressed concrete has gained the trust to service between 30 and 40 mega-projects in Thailand. These include the Bang Pa-in – Korat Motorway project, Bang Yai – Kanchanaburi Motorway, and construction of Yellow Line and Pink Link monorail stations. At present, the Company has

25 ongoing projects under its responsibility. That number is expected to double in 2020, with a sales backlog of about 1.5 billion baht.

“In the future, the Company will be prepared to service in government infrastructure projects. Those projects really need construction technology with international standards. Our cooperation with DSI will help us bring modern construction technology to infrastructure projects in Thailand. This will help improve the efficiency, reduce the cost and upgrade the quality of construction work in Thailand,” Mr. Aganit said.

The Company has seen its growth of revenue doubled in recent years. And the trend continues to grow upward, thanks mainly to the expansion of investments in large-scale infrastructure projects, such as high-speed railways, electric trains in Bangkok, in addition to expressways and elevated tollways.  The Company aims to get listed in the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) in the first quarter of 2021.

Mr. Niklas Puttendörfer, Asia President and Asia Business Development Director of DYWIDAG-Systems International GmbH (DSI), said that ASEAN countries Thailand in particular has a huge potential of growth in infrastructure project investments. The cooperation with SSI will help DSI to expand its business growth in this region. The German firm has invented technologies and innovations for the construction industry. These include the technologies for measurement, evaluation and maintenance of large-scale projects. And they will now be available for services in the Thai market.
